Kill Brexit Now - You can help

I know that lots of people who are horrified by Brexit can feel helpless as to how to make any impact to stop the Brexit Madness.

Today I have written to two MPs, Dominic Grieve QC MP and Joanna Cherry QC MP, asking them to ask one or more Urgent Parliamentary Questions about the Prime Minister's Brexit strategy.

Will they ask a Parliamentary Question? Or find it expedient to duck such potentially controversial issues?

I don't know.

So, to me, it makes sense to try to make sure that as many MPs as possible know about the legal challenges in the High Court and the legal issues which the Prime Minister will need to address.

The letter and its attachments can be freely distributed to other MPs and it's by doing that you could help spread awareness in Parliament that the Prime Minister's Brexit strategy is legally fatally flawed.

The letter to Dominic Grieve and Joanna Cherry is publicly available here:

Also at that link are a Letter Before Claim of today's date in which I ask the Prime Minister to abandon the misguided attempt to define the "exit date" on the face of the European Union (Withdrawal) Bill.

I believe that the sudden announcement of the Withdrawal Agreement and Implementation Bill is a result of the two legal challenges that I refer to here:

 https://killbrexitnow.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/there-are-two-legal-challenges-to.html

The letter to Mr. Grieve and Ms. Cherry provide the first publicly available summary of the four grounds of my legal challenge to Brexit previously mentioned here:

https://killbrexitnow.blogspot.co.uk/2017/11/brexit-legal-challenge-prime-minister.html

If the Prime Minister fails to take corrective action I plan to include the matter as an additional Ground of Claim before the 25th December 2017 deadline which applies to additional Grounds of Claim specified in my Letter Before Claim of 25th September 2017.

So how can you help?

If you email copies of the letter to Mr. Grieve and Ms. Cherry to your local MP it makes sure that awareness of the issues increases among MPs.

If you email your MP phone his/her office to make sure that your email isn't just lost in the mass of emails that arrive in most MPs inbox every day.

If you're really keen spend time getting a better understanding of the issues and make an appointment to speak to your MP.

Face to face contact can be invaluable.

So perhaps you can help to kill Brexit by sending an email, making a phone call or going to see your MP.

The documents there include a 50 page draft document of my legal arguments. At present only 4 of those arguments are included in Claim for Judicial Review.

I have informed the Court of my intention to lodge an Application with respect to at least some of the other 15 Grounds of Claim in the Letter Before Claim of 25th September 2017.

Yes, there are many rough edges in such a draft document but much "meat" too if you take the time to read and understand the issues.
